Contest outline:
Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2020 is a national initiative launched by AICTE and MHRD aimed at providing students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and to inculcate a culture of product innovation and problem-solving mentality.
During the last edition of the hackathon, 2 Lakh+ students with 55,000+ ideas from 2000+ institutions against 500+ problem statements provided by 120+ organizations from across India involved in it. In SIH 2020, students will also have the opportunity to work on the challenges facing private sector organizations and create world-class solutions for some of the world's largest companies, helping the private sector hire the best brains from the country.

Who can Participate:
All technology students from AICTE/UGC/IIT/NIT/IISER/IIIT/ Government approved educational institutions.
Team of 6 students is mandatory of which at least one should be a femalecandidate.
SIH 2020 Edition Rules:
The Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) from every institution should register on www.sih.gov.in starting from December 1, 2019
Maximum 7 teams (5 teams for Software edition + 2 teams for Hardware edition) per institution are allowed to participate in SIH2020
For shortlisting these top 7 teams, every institution is expected to organize internal hackathon before submission of the selected teams on SIH portal.
Details of internal hackathon (e.g. date, number of student participation, jury member, evaluation process etc.) need to be uploaded on the SIH portal along with few photographs of the internal hackathon.
All submission should come from the college SPOC only.
Submission of ideas directly from students will not be accepted.
Rules For Preparing the Idea Presentation:
Kindly keep the maximum PPT limit to 3 pages.
All the topics should be utilized for description of your idea.
Try to avoid paragraphs and post your idea in points.
Keep your explanation precisely and easy to understand.
Idea should be unique and novel. If it has a business potential more weight-age will be given.
