ITC Sustainability Challenge:
The paperboards and specialty papers division of ITC is the market leader in paperboards for mono cartons, papers used for communication and specialty papers for niche applications like décor papers and thin printing. The division is embarking on an innovative journey of substituting single-use plastic packaging with fibre based solutions. The vibrant Indian start-up ecosystem can be a key partner in the above endeavors. This will also augment ITC's efforts to support and contribute to the start-up ecosystem of the country. Projects include: a. New substrates with barrier coating while ensuring recyclability/biodegradability b. Systems for effective collection and recycling of postconsumer packages.

Ayush Startup Challenge:
The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has been conceived as an Apex Institute for Ayurveda. It is an Autonomous Institute under Ministry of Ayush. It aims at bringing a synergy between the traditional wisdom of Ayurveda and the modern tools and technology. The Institute has 25 specialty departments and 12 clinics with 8 inter-disciplinary research laboratories wherein several scholars have access for PG & Ph.D. programs every year. This institute also has an international collaborative centre for global promotion and research in Ayurveda. All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) through the partnership with Startup India wants to identify and support innovations and startups working in the Ayush sectors and harness the power of new technologies.

Start-a-Thon 3.0:
Sardar Patel Technology Business Incubator (SP-TBI) presents Start-a-Thon 3.0 which is a start-up ideation challenge where teams from all over India compete. It is a 2-day event where 20 teams will be given a problem statement each and they have to come up with a complete solution. These ideas will be pitched to investors on day 2. Mentors will be guiding the teams on day 1 helping them in making a business plan for the presentation. It’ll help them in building their various skills like entrepreneurship, problem-solving, pitching, etc. This year marks the 3rd edition of Start-a-Thon hosted in virtual mode. In our 3rd edition, we will be focusing on mental well-being and environmental domains as well. Any startup working for these domains are also welcome to participate.

Fisheries Startup Grand Challenge:
Globally, India accounts for more than 10% of the fish diversity and ranks 2nd in the world in total fish production. Currently, the aquaculture market is estimated to be $17 billion, wherein 92% of production output comprises fish. The Indian aquaculture market is expected to reach $19 billion by 2022 and double the production and exports in the next 5 years. The Department of Fisheries (“DoF”) is one of the two Departments under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying. Highlighting the importance of growth of fisheries sector, the Government of India has made substantial investments in the development of modern fishing harbours and fish landing centres. Today, India houses 50+ startups operating in fisheries and aquaculture domain. DoF, through its partnership with Startup India would like to identify and support innovations and startups working in the aquaculture and fisheries sector to accelerate the growth of this sector.
