Since 1969, Nikon Corporation has been organizing Nikon Photo Contest International to give photographers around the world the opportunity to communicate and enrich the culture of image production for professionals and amateurs alike.
In the last 10 years, with the broad penetration of digital cameras with video capabilities, the environment surrounding imaging has changed dramatically. Adapting to this change, the 34th competition has been redesigned, changing its name and structure and continuing to evolve to create new standards and new discovery opportunities.
The Nikon Photo Contest nurtures an ambitious community that supports photographers and filmmakers who want to share important stories and influence the way people view images.
