Background of the Contest:
The mobility festival aims to bring together the brightest minds of colleges, start-ups, industry and policymakers into an extravagant, multi-day, multi-topic program that will include stimulating plenary sessions, problem-solving competitions; masterclasses rich in knowledge and experience, round tables for the creation of road maps, numerous fun events for mobility and, of course, a platform for innovators, start-ups, MSMEs and companies, which presents the whole range of solutions - working models, prototypes, proven products concept vehicles.
About EMPI:
EMPI Institution has been selected out of thousands of applicants by NITI Aayog, Government of India under their Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) to set-up a first of its kind Atal Incubation Centre, specially focused on Renewables, Smart Energy and New Electric Mobility with the underpinning of AI & IOT Technologies. The aim of the center is to create world-class incubation facilities with suitable physical infrastructure. Energy Lab, Australia, the largest Energy Incubator in Australia is the technical collaborator. The center aims to provide comprehensive support to help young entrepreneurs in domains such as Renewables, Smart Energy and New, Intelligent & Electric Mobility to emerge as successful business enterprises that shall transform India.
Festival Insights:
The world is witnessing an unambiguous paradigm shift from the internal combustion engine car to alternating electric mobility. India has also set ambitious goals: to move predominantly to electric vehicles in the next decade.
The growth of electric vehicles will lead to disruptive changes in the automotive value chain, including technology, manufacturing systems, ownership models, distribution and aftermarket support. As a result, new business opportunities are emerging, requiring innovative financing and business models for the manufacture of electric vehicles and spare parts, battery and packaging solutions, charging infrastructure, ownership models, leasing and operating for individual, commercial and public transport vehicles, policies, regulations and incentives.
