About the contest:
Innovate to Inspire 2019 is in its Second edition of the innovation challenge, invites participants to submit sustainable and scalable solutions to five specific challenges. EESL, in association with the World Resources Institute (WRI) launched Innovate to Inspire a first-of-its kind energy innovation challenge in 2018. The challenge invited entrepreneurs, innovators and the start-up community to provide viable solutions that will help India achieve its ambitions for energy security and sustainability.

Innovation in the domain of E-Mobility and
Financial Instruments to support & sustain Energy Efficiency innovations.

Fill out the form and download the PDF document
Send your application before 31 August 2019 at 21:00 (IST).
Provisional selection and evaluation of ideas
Presentation of a detailed form duly completed by the candidates selected at the stage of the provisional selection
First round of evaluations by eminent jury members and selection of finalists
Submission of a two-minute video describing the project in detail and the problem it addresses, as well as the impact desired by the finalists
Announcement and congratulations of the laureates at the inaugural session of the International Symposium for the Promotion of Research and Innovation in Energy Efficiency (INSPIRE) - 2019 in Mumbai
Who can apply:
The challenge is open to anyone, team or individual, 18 years of age or older and from around the world
Students who are part of the institutional team representing a school / college / institute can also apply.
Participants must have a POC (Proof of Concept) / Prototype of the innovative idea.
Ideas or solutions without Proof of Concept (POC) / Prototype will not be considered.
Time lines of the contest:
10 April 2019 – 31 August 2019 - Registration & Application Submission
Mid -September 2019 - Interim selection
First week of November 2019 - Boot Camp Final Jury Pitch
11-12 November 2019 - Exhibition space for all finalists. Announcement & Felicitation of winners at INSPIRE 2019
Prize: Cash Prize of upto 5 lakh INR and mentoring support by EESL
