Outline:
Google Kick Start offers coders around the world the opportunity to develop and refine their programming skills through online competitions. The three-hour sessions feature a variety of algorithmic challenges, all developed by Google engineers so you have an idea of the technical skills required for a career at Google (the best competitors of our Kick Start sessions can be invited to interview at Google). Our tours are held regularly throughout the year, at different times, so that they are easily accessible to coders around the world. Each starting round is open to all participants. No pre-qualification is necessary. So you can try one or give a hand.
Objective of the contest:
Sign up for Kick Start once on googles website and you'll be ready to participate in the round of your choice. When each round is opened, the three-hour countdown begins and you compete on there website by solving algorithmic and mathematical problems. After the round, you will be able to consult your ranking, the analysis of the tour and if you were a major competitor, Google could contact you for a chance to carry out an interview.
Contest Structure:
The KS Contest consists of several rounds (each, a "round" and collectively, "rounds") that will take place online. The KS Contest may consist of one (1) or more practice sessions as described in Section 3.5 of the Encoding Competition Requirements. The KS Contest consists of eight (8) rounds, rounds A to H, beginning Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 4:00 UTC and ending on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 8:00 UTC. The dates and times of the rounds mentioned in the KS rules are subject to change by Google in accordance with the coding competition requirements and will be updated on the KS contest website at g.co/kickstart.
