Theme Outline:
Machine learning is a field of artificial intelligence that uses statistical techniques to give computers the ability to "learn". It is a game-changing technology that is already applied in many areas, including video gaming and serious gaming, medical diagnostics, fraud detection, driverless vehicles, and security surveillance. Despite all the benefits that come with it, some also feel that this could pose a significant threat - with calls for regulation to protect humanity against the risk of losing control of artificial intelligence. We believe it is an important area to explore for Atos IT Challenge.
We look at how machine learning can apply to sustainability, in which resource exploitation, investment direction, and technology development direction are aligned.
Who can participate:
The competition is open to students enrolled in university or engineering school during the 2018-2019 academic year, any year.
The competition requires a good level of English, both orally and in writing.
Each university or school may present as many teams as it wishes, but each team must be composed of at least 2 members and at most 4 members.
Participation in the contest will be formalized by each team registering online on the official contest website.
