ABOUT THE COURSE AREA:

The one-month AR/VR Internship Course equips engineering students with practical skills in immersive technologies, preparing them for careers in advanced fields like education, healthcare, gaming, real estate, and industrial training. The course covers core topics such as AR, VR, MR, and XR fundamentals, 3D environment and spatial interaction design, marker-based and marker less AR development, and immersive UI/UX design principles. Using industry-standard tools like Unity and Unreal Engine, students build and deploy real-world AR/VR applications for mobile devices and head-mounted displays. Through project-based learning, participants gain hands-on experience in interaction mechanics, object tracking, and user navigation systems. This internship enhances technical portfolios and increases employability, with placement opportunities at top companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Zoho, and HCL Technologies, which are actively working on AR/VR and metaverse solutions. It empowers students to innovate and contribute to next-generation digital experiences.

LEARNING OUTCOME:

1. Understand AR/VR/MR/XR Concepts:

   Gain a solid foundation in immersive technologies, their differences, and real-world applications across industries.

2. Develop AR Applications (Marker-Based & Markerless):

   Learn to build interactive AR experiences using both image-based tracking and environment-based (plane detection) methods.

3. Create VR Environments with Spatial Interaction:

   Design 3D virtual worlds that users can explore and interact with through headsets, controllers, or gaze-based input.

4. Design Immersive 3D UI/UX Interfaces:

   Implement intuitive user interfaces within AR/VR environments that are optimized for accessibility, clarity, and user engagement.

5. Deploy Projects to Mobile and Head-Mounted Devices:

   Master the process of testing and deploying AR/VR applications on Android phones and VR headsets for real-world use.

Day 1 – Introduction to AR & VR

Day 3 – Markerless AR Fundamentals

• Setting up markerless AR with plane detection

• Techniques for placing virtual objects on real-world surfaces

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

1. A desktop or laptop computer is required. Windows 7 is recommended.

2. Stable internet connection

3. A microphone is strongly recommended for trainer-student communication.

GUIDELINES:
